Barefoot College International has an exceptional network of partners across the region with the participation of the United Nations in countries such as Guatemala, Mexico, Chile and Belize with a thorough understanding of regions, ecosystems, problems and challenges regionally. Additionally, our work and strategy with local ground partners and grassroots organizations such as ASPROC in Brazil, Enersa in Chile, The Amazon Conservation Team in Suriname, Gaia Foundation in Colombia, UNED in Costa Rica, ONAMIAP in Peru, Fundación del Pueblo Indio in Ecuador, Bosque Modelo in Puerto Rico, Sufuturo in the Dominican Republic.
Barefoot College International keeps a personal track of the progress and well-being of each woman in Latin America. Some of them have had extraordinary results after 7 years of projects in place, some of them brought illustrative learning from previous experiences, while others have spearheaded innovative actions. This includes installing solar systems after earthquakes and hurricanes in the case of Mexico, and are great examples of resilience and solutions for climate change phenomena.
